What is Community Training?
Community Training times are designed for Intermediate and Advanced students to practice skills they’ve learned in workshops and classes, to work on acts, and to explore and create. While we encourage creative exploration, we have a strict no-peer teaching policy. There is no formal instruction at Community Trainings, although Hosts are available to take payment and answer any questions. Hosts have final say in what is appropriate at Community Trainings.

I want to perform!
The Factory produces a Student Showcase about every 6 months to highlight our amazing group of students. Anyone is welcome to participate, and we encourage students of all levels to be involved. Watch for updates in The Factory newsletter and on our Facebook page about upcoming Showcases. The next Showcase will be on November 19th at the Veteran’s Memorial Building. We ask all participants to pay a $25 that goes toward the venue rental and professional lighting design.
The Factory is also home to the contemporary circus and acrobatic ensemble, Aeraflux. Aeraflux has presented work in Santa Cruz and San Francisco, at the Atlanta Aerial Arts Festival, and at Envision Festival in Costa Rica. Aeraflux draws upon The Factory’s intermediate/advanced student base to create ensemble work
